Why Green Clay is the Hero of This Mask
French green clay is known for its powerful detoxifying properties. It pulls impurities from the skin, absorbs excess oil, and gently exfoliates—all without over-drying.
This makes it especially ideal for those with acne-prone or oily skin. Bonus? It leaves your skin feeling smooth and looking visibly refreshed.

Supplies You’ll Need
To whip up this clay mask at home, gather the following:
- French green clay (or any green clay)
- Raw honey (anti-microbial and hydrating)
- Warm water
- Carrier oil (like jojoba, grapeseed, or argan oil)
- Small bowl and mixing spatula or brush
- Dropper (optional, but helps with the oil)

How to Make the Green Clay Mask (Step-by-Step)
This recipe is for a single-use portion so that you can skip preservatives and always use it fresh.
Step 1: Mix Warm Water + Honey
Add about 3 to 6 grams of warm water to your bowl. Dip your spatula in the raw honey and swirl in a tiny amount (just enough to coat the spatula). Mix well. The warm water helps the honey dissolve.
Step 2: Slowly Add the Green Clay
Begin adding French green clay a little at a time. Stir continuously until the texture becomes thick, smooth, and creamy—like yogurt. Avoid dumping it all in at once or you’ll end up in a cycle of adding more clay, then more water.
Step 3: Add Moisturizing Oil
Add 2 drops of jojoba oil (or your chosen carrier oil). Mix thoroughly. This adds moisture without making the mask greasy or too slippery to stick.
Step 4: Apply the Mask
Using a clean brush or fingers, apply the mask to your face, avoiding the eye and mouth areas. Let it sit for 10-15 minutes until you feel a tightening sensation and the mask begins to dry.
Step 5: Rinse Gently
Wet a washcloth with warm water and press it onto your face to rehydrate the mask. Then gently wipe it off. Pat your skin dry and apply your favorite moisturizer or hydrating toner.
